General Store Policies

Partnership: Homedecorhouse is in corporate partnership with Capital Discount Furniture. The following policies apply to Homedecorhouse Furniture, Homedecorhouse Discount, and Capital Discount Furniture collectively referred to as “Homedecorhouse Furniture.” Customers purchasing from these entities will be referred to as “consumers.”
1. COVID-19 Policy
Due to COVID-19, please note the following:
- After delivery or pickup, customers must verify that the product received is correct and satisfactory before signing.
- Once the delivery driver leaves, no exchanges or returns for refunds will be accepted due to government guidelines.
- Store policies will revert once governmental policies change.
2. Refund Policy/Exchanges
- Customer Satisfaction: If an item is not in proper working condition, it can be exchanged at the store of original purchase.
- Time Limits:
- Furniture Items: Must be returned within 7 days.
- Mattresses/Box Springs/Bedding: Must be returned within 24 hours of delivery or pickup. Items must remain in plastic; removal voids exchange/refund.
- Receipts: All exchanges must have the original receipt. No exceptions.
- Philadelphia Warehouse Orders: Exchanges must be requested within 7 days and will incur a 35% restocking fee.
3. Cancellations
- Orders cannot be canceled or exchanged without a receipt.
- Cancellations are subject to a 35% fee of the total order amount, regardless of the reason or timing.
4. Merchandise Pickup
- A pickup fee may apply if merchandise is brought from another location.
- Store managers will determine the fee and provide an estimated pickup time.
- Homedecorhouse employees will assist in loading but are not liable for any damage during loading or transport.
5. Delivery Policy
- Orders placed after store hours will be scheduled for delivery the following day.
- Delivery Options:
- Curbside – Contactless Delivery: Delivery outside the house, no setup included.
- Inside a Room Delivery: Delivery inside the specified room, no setup included.
- Curbside Pickup: Free of charge, available at select store locations.
- Liabilities: Homedecorhouse is not liable for any damages occurring during delivery.
- Delivery Timeframe: Allow 2-3 working days for in-stock items and 3-14 working days for special orders. Contact the store for specifics.
6. Same Day Delivery Contingency
- Same day delivery is available for limited items if ordered before 12 PM, Monday to Friday. Weekend orders or those after 12 PM will be scheduled for the next day.
7. Damage Upon Delivery
- Consumers must note any damages on the delivery order within 24 hours. Replacement merchandise will be delivered within 8-20 business days.
- Damage not noted at delivery will not be covered by Homedecorhouse.
8. Furniture Assembly
- Choose the Homedecorhouse Delivery Service and Setup option during checkout for assembly.
9. Merchandise Storage Policy
- A 35% monthly storage charge or a minimum of $50 applies to orders not picked up within 7 days.
- Storage fees will apply to unsuccessful delivery attempts as well.
10. Layaway
- Layaway is available for 60 days with a 25% deposit. No refunds or exchanges for catalog or special orders.
- A 65% cash refund or store credit is available if the layaway is canceled.
- A valid layaway receipt is required to redeem. A $40 fee applies for lost receipts.
11. Refurbished Mattresses and Sofas
- Sold AS-IS with no warranty. Consumers are responsible for inquiring about refurbished items.
12. Protection Plan
- Protection plans are available. Consumers must contact the plan carrier for damages. Homedecorhouse is not liable for any damages.
13. Rent-to-Own Plans/90 Day Payment Plans
- Available through Snap Finance, Progressive, Acima, and Zibby. Consumers must communicate with their plan carriers for any issues.
14. Privacy Policy
- Homedecorhouse takes steps to ensure database privacy. We are not liable for any consequences from compromised databases.
